Producer spotlight: The farm house, MARGARET RIVER

Here at Sora, we try to source local produce as much as we can. One producer that we have been privileged to work with since the very beginning is The Farmhouse, MR.

Their smallgoods are all handmade, with freshly ground herbs and spices and no artificial colours or flavours. Their brine is made with Lake Deborah salt, local Fewsters honey, and has been created to respect the meat’s flavour, creating a balanced taste.

On top of that, they use traditional smoking techniques, with local wood chips. Their house blend of native hardwoods impart a unique house aroma which is sweet yet smokey, whilst subtle in respecting the flavour and aroma of the regional meats.

Established in 2010 the Farm House is a family owned Butchery, Smoke House and Charcuterie maker on the Margaret River in West Australia’s South West.

At Sora, we source our Free Range Bacon, our Breakfast Chipolatas, our Sausage Patty (in the Sausage and Egg Muffins), and our Ham from the Farm House, Margaret River.
